Deepika Padukone is all set to begin shooting for Shakun Batra's untitled project along with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in lead roles. The details of her character are kept under wraps but we hear that the actress will be travelling to Goa from Mumbai on September 11. Currently, Ananya and Ishaan Khatter are in Goa as well to promote their upcoming film Khaali Peeli which will release on OTT.
According to our source, "Deepika will head to Goa on 11th September after completing her brand commitments here in Mumbai. The team will prepare together and then start shoot in a couple of days."
Talking about the same, one of Deepika's team members was quoted saying, "Deepika has dedicated three days to finish her brand commitments which were on halt because of the COVID-19 situation all over. Once the actor gets into shooting for her film, then there won’t be any time for this, hence she is wrapping it up prior."
Earlier, talking about the film, Deepika had mentioned that the genre of the movie is domestic noir, and its because of Shakun’s understanding of people and relationships that she looks forward to working with him.
During the lockdown, Deepika had indulged in some online yoga sessions to apparently prepare for her character. Apart from Shakun's film, Deepika has several other movies in her kitty. She will next be seen in Kabir Khan's '83 in which she plays the role of Romi Dev opposite Ranveer Singh. She is also co-producing the film which is eyeing for a release by the end of 2020.
Deepika also has the Hindi remake of the Hollywood film The Intern in which she was supposed to star with late actor Rishi Kapoor. The new male lead of the film is yet to be announced.
Apart from this, Deepika is all set to romance Prabhas in Nag Ashwin's directorial. The announcement was made on a large scale and fans can't wait to witness the fresh pairing. She also will be playing the titular role in Draupadi and co-producing it too.
