The comparison between Mumbai and its police force with Pakistan is "outlandish", Maharashtra NCP chief Jayant Patil said on Wednesday in a veiled attack on actress Kangana Ranaut over her tweets that have riled the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) dispensation. Varanasi residents come out in Kangana's support
The demolition of a part of the residential office of Kangana Ranaut was also condemned in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency, where the residents staged a protest. Eunuchs threw slippers at the posters of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Abu Azmi. Raut had earlier got into a spat with Kangana.

15 detained for protesting BMC action against Kangana Ranaut
Around 15 persons, including some women, were detained on Wednesday for allegedly holding a protest against Mumbai civic body's act of demolishing a part of Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut's bungalow at Bandra, a police official said.
