NLAT to be held in 3 sessions; take mock tests from Friday

BENGALURU: The National Law Aptitude Test for admission to undergraduate courses will be held in three sessions on September 12 and a normalisation procedure will be used to ensure a level-playing field, the National Law School of India University said.
“It is possible that in spite of all efforts to maintain equivalence among question papers, the difficulty level of each paper in different sessions may not exactly be the same. To overcome this, a normalisation procedure will be used to compile law scores across batches and ensure a level-playing field where candidates neither benefit nor are in a disadvantaged position due to difficulty levels of the exam,” said the university.
Going back on its initial decision on a merit list, NLSIU said a general merit list will be prepared prior to admissions. The provisional admission list will be provided with names and ranks of selected students. The marks secured by other students will not be released.
Mock tests for NLAT 2020 will be available from 9am on Friday till September 12, 12 am.
