Four JMB terrorists sentenced to seven years in Burdwan blast case, NIA court orders verdict

A Kolkata court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) sentenced four Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) terrorists to seven years in the Burdwan blast case in 2014.

The NI was informed on Wednesday that 'Bangladesh's Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen militants were sentenced to seven years' imprisonment by the Kolkata National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Tuesday in the 2014 Burdwan blast case.

The NIA stated that 'a charge sheet was filed against 33 accused in this case, out of which 31 were arrested. As of August 2019, 19 accused persons and in November 2019 five accused persons were convicted and sentenced by the NIA court. The trial against the remaining three arrested people and two absconders will continue.
