Mumbai: Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty was brought to Byculla jail by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials on Wednesday. The 28-year-old was sent to judicial custody on Tuesday in drugs case linked to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. NCB during the proceedings sought 14-day judicial custody of Rhea and was approved by the court on Tuesday. Their remand copy stated that she is an active member of drug syndicate and was procured drugs for consumption. It also stated that she was involved in financial deals. Meanwhile, the magistrate rejected the bail plea filed by Rhea's lawyer Satish Manshinde.

The remand application also said that Rhea's brother Showik Chakraborty was procuring drugs from Kaizen Ibrahim and Abdel Basit Parihar on Rhea’s behest. From three days, Rhea was grilled by the NCB the NCB in connection with the ongoing investigation into a possible drugs connection in Sushant Singh Rajput's death.
