Maharashtra: Lightning kills two in Palghar, fourth death in less than a week

MUMBAI: Two persons, including a teenager were killed as lightning struck a village in Palghar on Wednesday. This is the fourth death due to lightning in less than a week.
Sachin Kuvave (27) and Atul Govari (18) were near the Kurze dam in Talasari when the lightning struck. The duo died on the spot due to serious burn injuries. They were residents of Bendgaon village.
On Sunday, two farmers died in different areas of Palghar district and six men sustained burns when lightning struck two villages.
The district administration will compensate the victims’ families.
