Hyderabad In the Telangana Assembly on Tuesday, former Prime Minister P.V. from the Central Government The resolution was passed seeking the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honor, to Narasimha. In this proposal, apart from renaming the Hyderabad Central University in the name of Mr. Rao, it has been demanded to install his statue and install the statue in the Parliament House complex. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, while presenting this proposal in the Assembly, said that Mr. Rao was a multi-lingual scholar and the pioneer of economic reform of the country. He said that Mr. Rao paved the way for making the Indian economy the largest economy in the world. He said that Mr. Rao was the first Prime Minister of South India. He said that if Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the creator of modern India, then Shri Narasimha Rao was the creator of global India.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government has decided to celebrate the birth centenary of the former Prime Minister for a full year, so that people across the country remember his contribution for the nation. On this occasion, Minister K.K. T. Rama Rao, V. Srinivasa Gaur, Indra Karan Reddy, Satyavati Rathod, G.D. Kamalakar and Congress leader BSI Vikramarka also expressed their views.
