BE and B Tech admissions: Anna University extends deadline for applications from NRIs, foreign nationals

CHENNAI: Anna University on Tuesday extended the deadline for submitting applications for non-resident Indians (NRIs), foreign nations (FN) and children of indian workers in gulf countries (CIWGC) category seats in BE and B Tech programmes till September 30.
As per the earlier announcement, the last date to submit applications was September 9.
"Students requested to extend the deadline citing difficulties in getting documents and certificates due to the Covid-19 outbreak. So, the university extended the deadline," an AU official said.
The applications for these categories started on August 21. The university said it would intimate applicants on the dates for counselling under this quota.
