Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo put in a vintage display as he became the first European male player to score 100 international goals with a magnificent brace in a 2-0 win over Sweden on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old Juventus attacker curled in a free-kick from 25 yards over the wall and into the far left corner beyond Sweden's stranded goalkeeper Robin Olsen for a memorable milestone in his trophy-laden career.
The former Real Madrid player then grabbed a second goal, and his 101st, in the 72nd minute, when cutting back inside the Swedish defence and producing a deft finish into the far corner from 20 yards.
Ronaldo now becomes only the second male player ever to score more than 100 international goals and is second on the all-time list behind Iran striker Ali Daei.
