As the situation is becoming normal from Corona, transport and economic activities are also back on track. In view of the increasing number of passengers, the Indian Railways has announced to run clone trains. Railways will run clone trains on routes on which the number of passengers is high, i.e. those routes in which the waiting list is long.

Clone trains will run for the first time in the history of Indian Railways

For the first time in the history of Indian Railways, clone trains will be seen running on the tracks. These clone trains will be clones of existing special trains. The speed of these trains will be relatively high. The stoppage of these trains will also be limited. The motive behind having limited stops is to get passengers to their destination quickly. In cloned trains, priority will be given to third class air-conditioned coaches (AC three-tier). The speed of these cloned trains will be higher than the existing special mail and express trains.

The Mode of operating trains changed after Corona

Keeping in mind the waiting list of trains, the railway will give options to passengers. Travelers traveling to select stations will get the option that they can travel by clone train if they want. The passengers on the waiting list will be offered a clone train to reach their destination. There was a big change in the operation of passenger trains after the lockdown. A number of labor special trains were run to take passengers stranded in the lockdown to their homes. Railways have recently announced that 40 pairs of special trains will run from September 12.

Railway's 'clone' scheme to provide relief to waiting tickets

Another train will be arranged for the existing train, which has a high waiting list. The number of this train will also be the same and it will leave one hour after the departure of the main train. Clone trains will also go on the same route and from the same platform, it will take passengers on the waiting list. With this, passengers with waiting tickets will reach their destination at almost the same time without any hassle.

Start on the Mumbai-Delhi route!

According to the Railway Board, the scheme will be started on the Delhi to Mumbai route. Railways have targeted zero waiting list on this route. Former Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, who had planned to give confirmed tickets to all passengers by the year 2020, is now being implemented as a clone train.
