Candolim
The Candolim primary health centre detected 18 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday with five persons from Arpora detecting positive followed by Pilerne and Saligao with 4 cases each, Candolim reporting 2 cases and one each testing positive in Calangute, Nerul and Reis Magos.
According to information provided by the Candolim PHC health officer Dr Roshan Nazareth, out of 18 positive cases, 11 are new cases which include one each in Candolim, Nerul and Reis Magos, Saligao three cases, Pilerne and Arpora two each while the other seven are high-risk contacts.
Meanwhile, Candolim PHC had a hectic day as swab samples of 50 persons were tested which included some people who have symptoms of the virus but are not from the
PHC’s jurisdiction. Out of the 50 swab testing done, 12 people tested positive and five were not from the PHC’s jurisdiction.
