NTA JEE Main official answer key 2020 released; raise objections till Sep 10

NEW DELHI: Braving all odds, the National Testing Agency successfully concluded the JEE main examination on Sunday. The exam commenced on September 2 amid stringent precautions.

The NTA has made the provisional answer key of the JEE main examination conducted for admission to engineering colleges in India on JEE main’s website — jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the examination can check the JEE Main answer key from the official portal.

Along with the answer keys, NTA has also released the JEE main 2020 question papers attempted by the candidates.

Candidates can raise objections against JEE Main answer key, if any, through the official website from September 8 to 10. The official notice released regarding JEE main answer key reads “The candidates are required to pay online a sum of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) Non-Refundable as processing fee for each question challenged. The payment of the processing fee may be made through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking upto 05.00 PM on 10.09.2020. The processing fee will not be refunded even if the challenge is found correct. No challenge will be entertained without receipt of processing fee.”

The JEE main answer key can be obtained from the link provided below. Candidates need to enter their application number and password to check the provisional answer key. Candidates are also advised to retain a copy of the JEE main answer key for future reference.

Candidates can raise objections, if any, against the JEE main answer key through the link available on the JEE main’s website. A payment of Rs 1000 would be required to pay per question. The fee can be paid by credit/debit card/Net banking/UPI/PAYTM service. Candidates should note that the fee once paid is non-refundable. The NTA’s decision on the challenges will be final and no further communication will be entertained.


The subject experts will examine all the challenges submitted by the candidates and then a final answer key will be released. The JEE main result will be compiled based on this final answer key released by the NTA. Candidates should also note that no grievance concerning answer keys after declaration of the result of JEE main 2020 will be entertained.
