Students will be allowed to visit schools subject to written consent of their parents/ guardians and the visits and teacher–student interaction must be organized in a staggered manner.
As per the SOP for school reopening, which would be effective from September 21, 2020 the students from Class IX onwards would be allowed to visit schools on voluntary basis “voluntary basis, for taking guidance from their teachers.”
As part of the phase-wise unlocking of activities, the ministry of health and family welfare issued the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for partial reopening of secondary and senior secondary schools and preventive measures to contain spread of COVID-19 in skill or entrepreneurship training institutions, higher educational institutions conducting doctoral courses and post graduate studies on Tuesday. The SOPs are based on the activities permitted by the ministry of home affairs under “Unlock 4”, the order for which was issued on August 29.

There were 38 patients inside the ICU where the fire started. A majority of these patients have been shifted to second and third floor of the same building. A couple of others have been shifted to GMERS Medical College and Hospital at Gotri and Sumandeep Hospital

No casualties were reported due to the fire as all patients were evacuated in nick of time. Resident doctors and nursing staff started evacuating patients as fire tenders of Vadodara Fire and Emergency Services (VFES) and 108 GVK-EMRI emergency services were also pressed in service. Fire has been brought under control.
State-run SSG Hospital in Vadodara witnessed chaos and panic as fire broke out inside the Covid hospital on Tuesday evening. The fire broke out in ICU located on the first floor of the casualty/ trauma center building which has been converted into a Covid-19 hospital at central Gujarat’s biggest government hospital.

Jammu and Kashmir's Covid-19 tally surpasses 45,000 with record 1,355 new cases in one day
Jammu and Kashmir witnessed its biggest single-day spike of 1,355 Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, pushing the Union Territory's infection tally to 45,925, while the death toll from the disease rose to 815 with 14 fatalities in the past 24 hours, officials said.
