Sushant Singh Rajput Case LIVE Updates: From two consecutive days, actress Rhea Chakraborty has been appearing before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the ongoing probe into a possible drugs connection in Sushant Singh Rajput's death. On 3rd of questioning, Chakraborty reached the NCB office, located at Ballard Estate in south Mumbai, around 10.30 am in a car escorted by a Mumbai Police vehicle. Last night, after Rhea completed the questioning process for the day with NCB, she headed to Bandra police station and filed a police complaint against Priyanka Singh, SSR's sister for allegedly getting a bogus prescription for the actor to help him with his anxiety issue. Mumbai Police registered a case of abetment to suicide based on a complaint by Rhea Chakraborty against Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters and others. The case has been transferred to the CBI for further investigation.

In her six-page long complaint, the actress shared that Sushant passed away five days after he obtained a prescription wherein "he was unlawfully prescribed psychotropic substances at the behest of his sister Priyanka". Meanwhile, in a significant order, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) at Esplanade Court has ordered that all remand applications in the cases related to the Sushant Singh Rajput matter be conducted only through video-conference. The order was issued on Sunday citing the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and also "past experience" pertaining to maintaining law and order in such high-profile cases with huge media interest.

Dhoni: The Untold Story", feels all the clamour around the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput has turned a tragedy into a Bigg Boss-type drama, which is tarnishing his memory. He says one should wait for the CBI to complete the investigation. The actor also wonders why cases of suicide by other actors after Sushant's death didn't catch anyone's attention.

"Seriously, I don't know where we have come? When will we be quiet? When will we be silent? I don't know what to say because the tragedy of losing a young star is so big," Mishra told IANS, adding, "Our tragedy is that we don't even give one the time to grieve. We can't let the departed person rest in peace. We made 'Bigg Boss' of his death, and this is a bigger tragedy. The way people are playing with them, the way people are bringing out things from the past. He is not here to answer any of it."

Rhea Chakraborty's counsel Satish Maneshinde in statement said, "Rhea has set Criminal Law in motion by filing her complaint with Bandra Police Station. The cocktail of illegally administered medicines & drugs may have lead to Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide on June 14. His sisters need to be answerable to investigators."

Will initiate contempt of court if police takes Rhea's plea forward: Vikas Singh

After Rhea' Chakraborty's fresh police complaints against Sushant Singh Rajput's sister, Priyanka, senior advocate Vikas Singh, who represents the late actor's family on Monday threatened that if the Mumbai Police takes this complaint forward, he would "initiate a request for contempt of court proceedings." "Mumbai police shall not accept any such complaint as it would be a clear violation of the Supreme Court's order. The order clearly prohibits any other agency apart from CBI from registering any new complaint in this case," said Singh at a press conference. "This is a clear attempt to deflect the mind of the people and derail the probe. If the Bandra Police will take this complaint forward, we will initiate contempt proceedings," he added.

Rhea Chakraborty was earlier questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) too. Rhea, in interviews given to multiple TV news channels, has said that she has never consumed drugs herself. She had, however, claimed that the late actor used to consume marijuana. It is claimed that Miranda told NCB investigators that he used to procure bud or curated marijuana for the late actor's household.

A total of eight people have been arrested till now by the NCB with six being directly linked to this probe while two were arrested by it when the investigation was launched under criminal sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. When the probe in the case began, the agency had arrested two men, Abbas Lakhani and Karan Arora, for alleged drug peddling and officials have claimed that through them they reached Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar who are allegedly linked to this drugs case as they were in touch with Miranda.
