GUWAHATI: The Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation held its first webinar in India on Saturday with IIT Guwahati scholars regarding the foundation’s mission to enforce the population control law across the country.
As a part of the program, a Google Meet was organized with the IIT community on Saturday evening. The webinar was moderated by Dr Subhajit Choudhury, Somporka Pramukh of JSF’s northeast chapter.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Sailendra Pandey, chairman of the northeast chapter of JSF, said, “Soon, there will be a vaccine for Covid-19, but, saving ourselves from the wrath of population explosion is what we must ponder upon.”
Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation, established in 2017, has been working tirelessly across the country to enforce the population control law by creating public awareness campaigns, Pandey said. “We are not lagging behind in this regard in Assam either. Various programs have been taken up in Assam and the northeast in particular,” he added.
