There has been a lot of uproar over the recent remarks made by Ranaut on Mumbai and the police here. Ranaut had tweeted, "Why does Mumbai feel like Pakistan-occupied Kashmir". Many of his tweets were opposed to this tweet.

The actress said that she needed the security of the Himachal Pradesh or Haryana Police and she would not accept the security of the Mumbai Police for disclosing the 'alleged drug mafia in Bollywood'. He was a staunch Shiv Sainik. ”Meanwhile, Maharashtra's Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Vadettiwar termed the Center's decision to provide Y plus security to Kangana Ranaut as politically motivated.

Vijay said that the decision of the Center is inspired by politics. He alleged, "Kangana is the parrot of the BJP. "By giving security to Kangana, the Center and BJP have supported her remarks against Mumbai Police and Maharashtra," the minister said. This is a betrayal of the people of the state. ''

It is noteworthy that BJP leader Ram Kadam had recently demanded the Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra government to provide police protection to Kangana as she wanted to disclose alliances with Bollywood drug mafia. Responding to Kadam's tweet, Kangana said that she feared the Mumbai Police more than the 'movie mafia' and would prefer to seek protection from either Himachal Pradesh Police or the Center.
