Odia film and televisionOdia film and television actor Chinmay Mishra recovered from Covid-19 after undergoing the mandatory 14 days of
isolation at home and medication. The actor had tested Covid-19 positive on August 22 and he informed about it through a social media post. He has also joined the shooting of his television serial.
“The last 14 days have been a difficult time as I couldn't go out and meet people. But I tried to enjoy this phase by indulging in some creative activities, which I missed earlier. I read books and watched several movies, mostly world cinema. Since I can’t sleep throughout the days, I utilised it to acquire knowledge. Besides, I was also catching up with friends over the phone,” said the actor about passing his time during the isolation period. As he stays alone at his home, there was no fear of spreading the disease to anyone else.
The shooting for the serial, for which he has been working, had to be paused after several cast and crew of the programme tested positive for coronavirus. “Our shooting set has also shifted from Bhubaneswar to Cuttack. Unlike Bhubaneswar, where shooting for three serials was going on in one building, the new place has only our team,” he said.
He appealed to people to follow the government guidelines and wear masks and keep sanitising to keep the virus at bay. “Since everything is open now, we are at a greater risk of contracting the disease. Battling it is not an easy task. I appeal to everyone to be responsible citizens first by keeping themselves as well as others safe,” he said.
