A six-year-old boy, said to have entered a parked car outside a society near Airport area onSunday afternoon , was later found dead inside.
Prima facie, it appears that he was asphyxiated after the door of the car got locked when he entered. A case ofaccidental death was registered in the matter at Airport police station.

As per case details, hismother Boliben used to work as domestic help at homes near their residence. She would sometimes take Ajay along. On Sunday morning, Boliben had taken him along when she went to work. After finishing work, they headed back home in the afternoon. While walking, Boliben did not realise when Ajay left her side and moved away.
Meanwhile, Ajay went close to a car parked atIscon Bungalows on Airport road. He is believed to have entered the car on finding its door unlocked. Unfortunately, as soon as he entered, he got locked inside.
When Boliben realised that Ajay was missing, she started looking for him along with others. While it is not immediately known how long they took to find him, the boy was found dead when the car was opened.
Talking to Mirror, ACP G division AM Desai said, "The car was lying parked at that particular spot for nearly a week. The owner lives in Iscon Bungalows. An accidental death report has been filed with Airport police and the child's post-mortem has been conducted by panel doctors. Once the report arrives, the exact cause of death will be known."
He added, "FSL examination of the car will also be done. If any negligence is found on the side of the car owner, a complaint will be filed against him."
