The hunt has begun: Ragini Dwivedi’s sources of income are being examined; She’ll move court for bail today

Ragini Dwivedi was questioned for the second straight day by officials of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) investigating the drug abuse in Sandalwood. They are now looking at her sources of income as Ragini has reportedly invested in Karnataka Premier League (KPL).

Ragini is housed at the state home for women and on Sunday, she was questioned for several hours by the officials to get more details about who all attended the high end parties. Her properties are being verified to see how she managed to invest so much money.

On Monday, Ragini will be moving her bail application, with her three days police custody ending.

The officials who have named 12 accused in the FIR registered in Cottonpet police station, are on the lookout for the accused who are on the run. Aditya Alva, son of former minister Jeevraj alva and brother-in-law of actor Vivek Oberoi , who has been named as accused six, is reportedly in Mumbai and his house is said to be locked. Another accused Prashanth Ranka, a peddler and an addict, was part of all the high end parties where the accused met, was detained by the CCB officials on Sunday. Officials said that the accused, Vibhav Jain was infected with the virus and is currently in home quarantine. The officials have asked him to appear before them after his recovery.

Accused No. 13 surrenders

On Sunday, a man who identified himself as Anirush went to the CCB headquarters and surrendered himself before them, stating that he is the accused 13. He claimed that he would share all the information about the racket and would help the police with the investigation. He is currently under police custody and is being questioned.

Close eye on Yashas

On Monday, Narcotics control bureau issued a notice to the one Yashas, son of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) councillor to appear before them for questioning.

The NCB probing the drug racket linked to international peddlers around the country, came across his name after he was allegedly linked to a peddler who had supplied drugs to the accused in Sushanth Sign Rajput’s case.

Yashas is son of Keshavamurthy, BBMP councillor, and is known to attend parties in and around the city. He has been asked to appear before them at their office in Mumbai, on Monday at 11 am. Following the notice issued by NCB, CCB officials are keeping close watch on him
