Gurugram sees 306 fresh Covid-19 cases, tally 13.3k

GURUGRAM: The city on Sunday reported 306 new cases of Covid-19, taking the tally to 13,321. The number of recoveries on the day was 140. No Covid-19 deaths were reported. The Covid toll in the city stands at 137, of whom 96 patients had comorbidities.
The number of active cases in the city has increased to 1,686 with 86% recovery rate. On Sunday, a total of 2,546 samples were sent for testing, of which 1,102 were sent for rapid antigen testing, 701 for RT-PCR test done in government labs and the remaining 743 samples were tested by the private labs.
The health officials said 1,87,064 people have been put under surveillance in the city.
Faridabad too reported 276 fresh cases on Sunday, taking the tally to 13,896.
The number of active cases in Faridabad is 1,122 and two more deaths were reported on Sunday.
