NEW DELHI: Life in a bio-secure bubble can be challenging and almost every member of the eight different franchises has started their journey in this highly secure environment, in an effort to make the 13th edition of the IPL in COVID times a success.
The IPL being played in UAE this year, has already faced a few challenges, but the players and support staff are working together, strictly following rules and regulations to avoid any sort of adverse situation during the tournament.

With the players' mental well-being in mind during this rather long journey till November 10 (date of IPL final) in a bio-secure bubble, franchises too have deployed measures to keep the players mentally fresh and rejuvenated off the field.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore have come up with a 'world class' gaming room where players can find everything needed to keep them occupied and focussed.
From air hockey to F1 and golf simulators, to karaoke machines, players have been provided with a whole host of games and fun activities in the gaming zone, so that they are never tempted to leave the bio bubble.

RCB's Head of Cricket Operations Mike Hesson also recently said in an interview that the team has also been provided with a sports psychologist to keep track of players' mental health during the tournament in the bio-secure bubble.
The 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League is set to begin from September 19 with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings hocking horns in Abu Dhabi in the season opener.

After 13 members of the CSK camp tested positive a couple of weeks back, the franchise last Friday finally began their training and on field preparations for the most unconventional edition of the league so far.
Players once in a biosecure bubble are not allowed to leave and any member breaking the safety protocols that could endanger themselves and others will be dealt with harshly.
