Former MLA Nirvendra Kumar Mishra alias Munna (80), who came to protest against the occupants of the land in Trikolia village of Sampurnanagar police station area of ​​Lakhimpur Kheri, died during the brawl. The former MLA's wife Sita, son Sanjeev Mishra and son Vadhu Sheetal were also injured in the attack. Family members allege that the former MLA has been beaten to death.

A murder case has been registered against five people on this basis. According to the late-night post-mortem report, death was due to a heart attack. On the other hand, angry people created an uproar over the news of death, on the instructions of CO Kuldeep Kukreti, the police fired sticks and drove the crowd. Later, the mob surrounded Kotwal Sunil Kumar Singh and demanded action.

Narendra Kumar Mishra alias Munna Nighasan, a resident of Trikolia village, has been a three-time MLA from the Vidhan Sabha constituency. The injured former MLA fell to the ground and stunned. The family brought him to a hospital in Palia where the doctor declared him dead. After this, angry people started a commotion.
