New Delhi: Coronavirus India Live Updates: With 90,802 cases has push India's coronavirus tally to 42,04,613, the Union Health Ministry data this morning showed. The death count has risen to 71,642 with 1,016 more fatalities.
32,50,439 patients have recovered from the infection in the country, pushing the recovery rate to 77.3 per cent.
Maharashtra remains the state hit hardest by the pandemic, followed by Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh. India is the country with the second-highest coronavirus caseload in the world after the United States.
Meanwhile, Metro trains have resumed in select cities of the country today, more than five months after they were stopped, with protective measures against the coronavirus. Only asymptomatic people are allowed to board trains and stations at containment zones will stay shut.

Telangana Adds 1,802 New COVID-19 Cases; 9 Deaths Push Toll To 895
Telangana reported 1,802 new COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 1,42,771 while nine more deaths pushed the toll to 895, the state government said.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 245, followed by Rangareddy (158), Karimnagar (136) and Siddipet (106)
districts, a bulletin said on Monday, providing data as of 8 pm on September 6.
The cumulative recovered cases stood at 1,10,241 while 31,635 are under treatment.
86 New Cases Push Arunachal Pradesh's COVID-19 Tally To 5,000
Arunachal Pradesh's COVID-19 tally rose to 5,000 on Monday as 86 more people, including 11 security personnel, tested positive for the infection, a senior health official said.
West Siang district reported the highest number of new cases at 17, followed by 15 each in Papumpare and the Capital Complex region and 12 in Longding, State Surveillance Officer, Dr L Jampa, said.
"Five Army men, four Assam Rifles jawans, an ITBP personnel and a policeman are among the new patients," he said.
Restart Of Metro: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Says There Should Be No Negligence In Following Precautions Against COVID-19
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday expressed happiness over restart of Metro train services in the city, saying there should be no negligence in following precautions against COVID-19.
The Delhi Metro resumed services on Monday morning after being closed for over five months due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The first line to be opened was the Yellow Line connecting Samaypur Badli and HUDA city centre in Gurgaon.
"I am happy Metro (services) starts today. Metro has made good arrangements. We also do not have to show negligence in following the precautions," Mr Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi.
Various steps like strict adherence to use of face covers and sanitisers, social distancing, travel through smart cards only, thermal screening have been put in place by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to ensure safe commuting amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Unlock 4: Bengaluru Metro Resumes Services With Purple LineBengaluru's Namma Metro on Monday resumed its service with Purple Line as part of Unlock 4. Trains will operate between 8 am to 11 am and 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm with a frequency of five minutes.
The first metro trains started from Bayyappana Halli metro station to Mysore Road at 9 am today. The last train will depart from these stations at 11 am.

Delhi Metro Services Resume As Part Of Unlock4
Delhi Metro has resumed services from 7 am on Monday as the part of ''unlock 4'', after being shut for 169 days due to COVID-19.
In phase 1, metro services will be resumed on Yellow Line connecting Samaypur Badli to Huda City Centre and Rapid Metro in Gurugram.
"We have deployed police force at every metro station for crowd management and to ensure that people wear face masks and follow norms of social distancing," Atul Katiyar, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) said.
A commuter said, "I feel good that metro services are starting again. I had to book a cab for travelling to the place which was expensive for me but now I am able to commute at the reasonable fare."
Brazil Reports 14,521 Coronavirus Cases, 447 Deaths
Brazil recorded 14,521 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, as well as 447 deaths from the disease, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.
Brazil has registered 4.14 million cases of the virus since the pandemic began, while the official death toll has risen to 126,650, according to ministry data.
Brazil has the second highest number of coronavirus cases and related deaths in the world. India, which has now registered 4.1 million cases, reported a global record 90,632 cases on Sunday and could soon overtake Brazil.
Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Issac Tests Positive For COVID-19
Kerala Finance Minister Dr T M Thomas Isaac tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, the first in the cabinet to contract the infection, and has been shifted to the medical college hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, official sources said.
His swab samples were taken as he had a minor cold and he tested positive on Sunday, they told PTI.
He is the first minister in the cabinet to test positive for COVID-19, they said.
Bengaluru Hospital Reports First Case Of Covid Reinfection In CityBengaluru has reported its first case of coronavirus reinfection - a 27-year-old woman who had first tested positive in July and was discharged upon full recovery from a mild form of the disease. Tests conducted on the patient, who did not have any co-morbidities, show she did not develop any immunity towards the novel coronavirus, a statement from Fortis Hospital said.
"This is possibly the first reported case of Covid reinfection in Bangalore," Dr Pratik Patil, an Infectious Diseases Consultant at Fortis Hospital's Bannerghatta Road facility said, explaining how the woman developed the disease a second time within a month's time.

The passengers have been asked to download Aarogya Setu app on their smartphones and will undergo thermal checks at stations.
Based on central guidelines, the metro authorities of Delhi, Noida, Chennai, Kochi, Bengaluru, Mumbai Line-1, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Maha Metro (Nagpur), Kolkata, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh have prepared their standard operating procedures. Maharashtra will not be resuming metro operation this month.

Coronavirus News: Record 3,810 New Cases Take Odisha's COVID-19 Tally To 1,24,031
Odisha registered its highest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases on Sunday as 3,810 more people tested positive for the infection, while eight fatalities pushed the state's coronavirus death toll to 546, a health official said, reported news agency PTI. The fresh infections have taken the state's caseload to 1,24,031, he said. At least 2,286 new cases were detected in quarantine centres, while 1,524 people tested positive for the infection during contact tracing, the official said. Odisha had reported its previous highest single-day spike of 3,682 COVID-19 cases on August 27.
