UP: Five contract killers held in Prayagraj

The police have also been compiling the criminal background of arrested criminals
PRAYAGRAJ: City police on Monday claimed to have busted a gang of contract killers and arrested five of its members who had allegedly taken Rs four lakh contract to eliminate Sadiapur resident Choti Guru Kinnar.
The police have also recovered two country made pistols of 0.315 bore along with two cartridges, 11 crude bombs and six mobiles from their possession. The arrested contract killers were identified as Imran alias Mohd Wazahat of Attarsuiya, Jishan Khan of Khuldabad, Aqib of Dariyabad , Zunail of Attarsuiya and Monu Goswami of Kareli.
SSP (Prayagraj) Abhishek Dixit told TOI, “A joint team of Kareli police and crime branch after receiving a tip off that a gang of contract killers was moving around machali mandi area, cordoned the road and managed to catch all of them”. He added that police was tipped off that these persons were offered Rs four lakh to eliminate the Choti Guru Kinnar, a resident of Sadiyapur.
SSP said that police have been interrogating the arrested criminals to inquire about the man who had given contract killing to these contract killers. However, a case under section 506,386 and 120 B of IPC has been registered with Kareli police station in the same regard.
The police have also been compiling the criminal background of arrested criminals. Meanwhile, police have arrested a man identified as Neeraj Kumar Yadav, a resident of Saidabad near Rampur area when he was carrying three fake notes of Rs 100 denomination with him. A case has been lodged in this connection.
