There will be no shortage of resources to compete with Covid-19: Ashok Gehlot

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that the state government will not allow any shortage of resources to save the lives of people due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Gehlot chaired the review meeting on Sunday regarding the situation regarding coronavirus and said that expansion and strengthening of medical facilities is a top priority.

According to an official statement, Gehlot has said, "At present, there is no shortage of resources anywhere in the state. We have 3018 beds with oxygen facilities out of which only 872 are in use. Similarly, only 406 out of 913 ICU beds and 113 out of 49 ventilator beds are patients. ''

Keeping in view the future requirements, the number of new beds in RUHS, Jaipuria Hospital, and Railway Hospital of Jaipur has been increased by 50-550. There are 130 special hospitals identified for COVID-19 in the state. In addition, 292 covid care centers have been established.

Gehlot has said that adequate facilities are available in government hospitals of the state. If the beds in the government hospital are fully filled, then in the private hospitals, the Kovid patients will get a free treatment facility if needed.

He said, "The number of infected cases is increasing across the country. Infectious cases have also increased in the state, but due to coordinated efforts, we have been able to keep the death rate to a minimum. In the last two months, the death rate in the state has been less than one percent.
