The number of COVID-19 patients has crossed 42 lakhs after confirming that 90,82 people have been infected with the Coronavirus in a single day in the country, while 32,5,4,4 of these people have recovered healthy after recovering from the infection. The incidence rate rose to 77.3 percent on Monday.
According to data from the Union Health Ministry till eight o'clock in the morning, the total cases of coronavirus have increased to 42,04,613 while in the last 24 hours the death toll has risen to 71,642 with 1,016 deaths. The death rate of COVID-19 has further reduced to 1.7 percent.
According to the data, 8,82,542 people in the country are still vulnerable to infection, which is 20.99 percent of the total cases. In India, the number of COVID-19 patients had crossed 2 million on 7 August, 3 million on 23 August, and 4 lakh on 5 September.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 4,95,51,57 samples were tested till September 6 of which 7,20,362 samples were tested on Sunday.
