Palghar sees 2nd strongest earthquake yet

Several homes developed cracks
MUMBAI: A series of earthquakes, including one measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale, rocked Palghar district on Friday night and Saturday morning.
The epicenter was Dahanu taluka. No casualties were reported, but several homes developed cracks.
The roof of a Dahanu house collapsed. The 4.0 quake at 11.41pm on Friday was the second highest recorded in the district, after a 4.1 quake on February 1, 2019. People rushed out of their homes on Friday night; villagers spent the night out in the open.
At 10.33pm on Friday, a tremor of 2.8 was recorded. At 1.05am on Saturday, a 3.6 magnitude quake was recorded, and a 2.7 at 6.36am.
