- Bharati had challenged a Kerala Land Reform Act nearly four decades ago.

- The verdict involved 13 judges the largest bench ever to sit in the apex court.
- The case of Kesavananda Bharati vs State of Kerala was heard for 68 days.
- Case continues to hold the top spot for the longest proceedings ever to have taken place in the top court.
- The hearing in the case commenced on October 31, 1972, and concluded on March 23, 1973.
- It's the most referred to case name in Indian Constitutional law.

Arjun Kapoor tests positive for COVID-19
- Actor Arjun Kapoor on Sunday said he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is asymptomatic.
- The 35-year-old actor said he is "feeling ok" and will be under home quarantine.
- "It is my duty to inform all of you that I have tested positive for coronavirus. I'm feeling ok and I'm asymptomatic.
- "I have isolated myself at home under the advice of doctors and authorities and will be under home quarantine,"Arjun posted a statement on Instagram.
After 5 months, Delhi Metro set to welcome commuters
- After a gap of more than five months, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is all set to welcome passengers in a phased manner in three stages begining from September 7.
- The Metro, which had suspended its services in March due to outbreak of Covid is looking to reopen with caution putting into place a series of measures such as closed token counters, limited entry and exit points, thermal scanners and sanitisers among others to enable commuters to adhere to COVID social distancing protocols.

Only one containment zone in Kolkata
- The number of containment zone in Kolkata has come down to one, according to the latest list released by the West Bengal government.
- The previous list of August 23 had 17 containment zones for Covid-19 prevalence in the city.
- The city at present has only one containment zone at Umesh Datta Lane in Girish Park area of north Kolkata, according to the list released on Saturday.

- Companies in India have adapted well to respond to increased cyberattacks after witnessing "total chaos" in the first three months of coronavirus-induced lockdown, although it will take time for these firms to upgrade their networks, according to a senior official of consultancy firm EY.
- EY in its Global Integrity Report 2020 had found that cybercriminals, trying to exploit the fears and uncertainties around the virus, have stepped up phishing and ransomware attacks, increasing the risks for organisations already struggling to operate during a pandemic.

FPIs turn net sellers in Sep so far, pull out Rs 900 cr
- Overseas investors pulled out Rs 900 crore on net basis from Indian markets in the first four trading sessions of this month as weak economic data and India-China border tensions hit market sentiment.
- Depositories data showed that foreign portfolio investors (FPI) pulled out Rs 675 crore from equities and Rs 225 crore from the debt segment on net basis between September 1-4.
- Prior to this, FPIs were net buyers for three consecutive months. They invested Rs 46,532 crore in August, Rs 3,301 crore in July and Rs 24,053 crore in June on net basis.

- A Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) team reached actress Rhea Chakraborty's home in Mumbai on Sunday morning to serve her summons for joining probe in the drugs case linked to the death of her live-in partner and actor Sushant Singh Rajput, officials said.
- The agency has said that it wants to question Rhea, 28, the main accused in the death case, to take the probe forward in the case.
- "The team has gone to serve the summons for joining investigation. She(Rhea) can come on her own or she can come with the team," a senior official of the federal anti-narcotics agency said.
