Journalist ‘looted’ at knifepoint

Noida: A 23-year-old assistant producer working with a Hindi news channel was allegedly robbed of his mobile phone and some cash by three men who took him at knifepoint near Sector 19 intersection late on Friday.
The journalist, Sagar Rajawat, was allegedly robbed when he was walking towards his rented accommodation around 9.15pm after his colleague dropped him off near Sector 19 traffic junction while returning from their office.
“I was walking towards C block of Sector 19 when three men on two motorcycles intercepted me. One of them kept a knife near my throat and abused me. He threatened me saying I should hand over whatever valuables I was carrying or he would kill me. The other person then snatched my mobile phone, earphones and Rs 250 that I had in my pocket and fled,” alleged Rajawat.
DCP Rajesh S said that an FIR will be lodged after a written complaint is filed in the case.
