Mayflower Illumination for Plymouth 400 begins Sunday night

Beginning Sunday, the Mayflower II will be illuminated each evening to commemorate Plymouth's 400th anniversary. A special ceremony will be held at 7:15 p.m. Sept. 6 at State Pier to light up the ship. Ellie Dononvan, executive director of Plimoth Plantation, will flip the switch. Guests are expected to include State Sen. Susan Moran and State Rep. Matt Muratore.
