Drug racket in entertainment industry: Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi detained after CCB sleuths raided her residence

The Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru, which is probing the drug menace in the Kannada film industry, searched popular Sandalwood actress Ragini Dwivedi's residence for her alleged involvement in the racket. According to police sources, a team of CCB sleuths reached the actress' house around 6 am. Earlier, the investigating agency had issued a notice to Dwivedi, directing the actress to appear before them for questioning on 4th September, but she sent a team of lawyers seeking time till 7th September. Post this, police directed her to appear before them on Friday itself before 10 am. Meanwhile, the CCB intensifies its investigation into a drug haul in Bengaluru after the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested three people from Mumbai,. They had confessed to supplying drugs in the Kannada film industry.
