Panaji recorded 26 more COVID cases on Friday from different areas of the constituency. Nineteen out of 26 patients are male while 7 are women, informed the city mayor Uday Madkaikar.
Speaking to this daily, Madkaikar said that after two days of higher number of cases being recorded- 38 and 42, on Friday, the number of new cases logged was less, standing at 26.
Madkaikar said that there are five more COVID cases detected in Military hospital of persons aged between 34 and 39, while two persons from Goa Fire and Emergency Services have tested positive for coronavirus and sought home isolation.
A 49-year-old person staying in Caranzalem, a-33-year-old and 35-year-old staying in Mala-Panaji, a 22-year-old male staying in Caranzalem and a 3-year-old girl staying in Bhatulem and a 42 year-old woman staying in government quarters at Patto-Panaji and a 29 year-old male from Altinho-Panaji have tested positive for COVID.
While a-65-year-old woman from Altihno-Panaji and a 66-year-old person staying near Mary Immaculate Conception Church, Panaji, while two persons from St Inez-Panaji, aged 35 and a 42-yer-old woman, a 26-year-old woman staying behind AIR, Altinho-Panaji and a-39-year-old person staying in city tested positive and they have opted for home isolation.
Three persons staying behind a hotel in Caranzalem, and a 40-year-old person staying opposite government quarters-Panaji have also tested positive and sought home isolation.
