Gradually many countries are reopening their borders for foreign tourists to kick-start their tourism industry after a going through a significant break due to the pandemic.

Now, Namibia is also prepared to welcome international tourists, after Brazil and Egypt opened their frontiers. Airlines can land at Hosea Kutako International Airport from this week.

As per the recent reports, foreign visitors will have to produce a negative COVID-19 test report within 72 hours of the flight time of the person.

Besides, on arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, tourists will be provided with a health questionnaire which has to be rightly filled up with all important information.

Tourists will have to land at Hosea Kutako International Airport only as other airports in the country are not accepting international tourists as of now. After landing, temperature scanning will be done, and passengers showing any symptoms will be tested once again for Covid-19 at the airport.

For the security reasons, all tourists landing in Namibia should contain travel insurance and buy a local number and register it with the authorities.

Visa will be granted on the basis of conditions put forth earlier; tourists from several nationalities can be visa-free or apply for a visa on arrival.

Also, tourists on arrival in Namibia can check in at a hotel approved by the Ministry of Health. It is kind of compulsory for every tourist to stay at the accommodation for a minimum period of 7 days with the freedom to enjoy all the facilities.

Reportedly, a second Covid-19 test will be conducted on day five, after that, and results will be available on the seventh day. If negative results come up, the tourists can go ahead and explore the country. They can also check into other hotels, campsites or accommodation.
