Roberto Bruzzone has been appointed as the Senior Vice President of Marine Operations for Silversea Cruises. As a part of his latest role, Bruzzone will be responsible for the marine and technical operations of the fleet. He will also oversee newbuilding and refitting activities, as well as handle the technical procurement and crew management functions. He report directly to Silversea Chief Executive Roberto Martinoli.
Bruzzone comes with extensive experience in the shipbuilding industry and has held various positions at major international cruise lines in a successful career spanning 20 years. He has served as the Vice President of Technical Operations at Carnival Corporation for five longs years which are a part of his 14-year period at the industry leading company. He has spent five years at Independent Maritime Advisors in London, and worked on new builds for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
He will play a key role in supporting the expansion of Silversea’s ultra-luxury fleet in the coming years. Roberto Martinoli said in his statement that the company is delighted to welcome Roberto Bruzzone to the team. He shared that his wealth of expertise will bring great value to the cruise line, as it continues to grow the fleet for the benefit of guests.
