The 300-room hotel and conference centre is slated to open at Lake Lanier by 2023.Lake Lanier Islands Management Co. that has leased the state property at the lake north of Atlanta. The PR of the director submitted a plan of $155 million complex to a business group in Hall County, The Times of Gainesville.
The new hotel will be privately financed, however the state has thought of borrowing up to $30 million to build the 75,000 square feet (7,000 square meters) conference centre. The hotel would be built on the site of the former PineIsle hotel.
Bill Donohue, executive director of Lake Lanier Islands Development Authority, said discussion about the property’s renewal began in 2012.
It is expected that the travel industry might soon revive after the pandemic, and hence investors are focusing on building structures to attract visitors. Focusing on leisure activities, absolute relaxation, and matchless services, hotels are coming up in a new way. This is a new age hotel to help tourists enjoy.
