NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading higher at 01:21PM (IST) on Thursday.

Shares of Prince Pipes and Fittings (up 14.03 per cent), Gateway Distriparks (up 9.22 per cent), Jamna Auto Inds (up 8.6 per cent), Fiem Industries (up 7.7 per cent) and MSTC (up 6.59 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Techno Electric & Engineering Co (down 6.64 per cent), Responsive Industries (down 5.86 per cent), Voltamp Transformers (down 5.66 per cent), Great Eastern Shipping Company (down 5.41 per cent) and PNB Gilts (down 5.3 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.85 per cent up at 14776.79 around 01:21PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 22.10 points at 11557.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 21.09 points at 39107.12.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, Alok Industries and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Poly Medicure, Tata Consumer Products, Adani Green Energy Ltd., Tube Investments of India Ltd. and SBI Cards hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Darjeeling Ropeway Company Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Emmsons International Ltd., Vas Infrastructure Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Benara Bearings & Pistons Ltd., Mukta Agriculture Ltd. and B P Capital Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
