Boy, 2, in critical condition after falling into north-west Sydney dam
A toddler is in a critical condition after falling into a dam on a private property in Sydney's north-west.
NSW Ambulance responded to reports of an unconscious child pulled from the water in a dam on a property at Maraylya about 10.30am on Thursday.
Three crews and the CareFlight helicopter attended the incident, finding the two-year-old boy in cardiac arrest and unresponsive.
“This is a parent’s worst nightmare, arriving at a scene like this is heartbreaking,” NSW Ambulance Acting Inspector Greg Marshall said.
The boy received CPR at the scene.

He was transported to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
“As we become more active in and around water during the summer months, it is imperative that everyone remains vigilant in and around the water - it only takes a moment for anyone to get themselves into trouble,” Mr Marshall said.
