Koderma jail tested positive for Covid-19 during an rapid antigen test (RAT) drive on Tuesday might. Jail superintendent Vijay Verma said: “We are sending their samples for RT-PCR tests for confirmation.” All the infected inmates are male.

Koderma deputy commissioner Ramesh Gholap, who reviewed the situation the jail, said the inmates will be shifted to dedicated Covid hospitals if needed. “One of the inmate has been shifted to hospital after he complained of sore throat and breathlessness,” Gholap told TOI.
