Covid-19 in Madurai: Marriage hall owners asked to follow these guidelines

MADURAI: Madurai Corporation commissioner S Visakan held a meeting with marriage halls owners to inform them about the standard operating procedures (SOP) to be followed when they reopen for business.
Marriage hall owners were asked to ensure that only 50 people participate in each wedding party.
Handwashing facilities should be available at the entrance and every individual in the hall should wear mask.
Seating arrangements should be in such a way theta there should be a six-metre distance between each guest.
The halls should be disinfected before and after every event.
The commissioner said the civic body had been taking steps to ensure the containment of Covid-19 in the city. Around 1,400 field workers appointed by the corporation continue their door-to-door survey to keep the virus in check. Fever camps are being held across the city.
