West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday claimed that 75 percent of the state's candidates could not participate in the JEE examination held on Tuesday due to the coronavirus epidemic and in other states only half of the students reached their centers. The Chief Minister blamed the 'arrogance' of the Central Government for this.

Banerjee is opposed to the Central Government's decision to conduct the 'Int Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains and National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET). She requested the Center to reconsider those who managed to appear for the examination and who could not test.

Banerjee told reporters, "Students are in a lot of trouble. Many of them could not take the JEE exam. Therefore, we had requested the Center to appeal to the Supreme Court or re-review the case so that the students would not be deprived of it," she said, " her government had made all the arrangements for the students but on Tuesday only 1,167 The children took the exam while a total of 4,652 candidates were to appear in this examination.

She said, "This means that only 25 percent of the students in West Bengal could take the exam while 75 percent could not take the exam." We (according to the directive of the Central Government) made the arrangements. "The Trinamool Congress chief attacked the central government and said," If the exam was postponed for a few more days, what would have gone wrong? Why so much ego? Why are you (central government) so stubborn? Who gave you the right to ruin the future of students? ''
