UP police arrest Odisha man for social media posts against Yogi Adityanath

BHUBANESWAR: A team of police officers from Uttar Pradesh arrested a man from Salipur area in Cuttack district on charges of posting hate messages against prime minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and some Hindu leaders of Lucknow on social media.
The accused was identified as Sayad Hassan Ahmed (40), a resident of Kusumbhi village in Salipur. Sources said Ahmed was booked for sedition.
"The UP police had sought assurance of the local police. Our personnel extended the support," Cuttack (rural) SP, Jugal Kishore Banoth told TOI.
