JEE Main Sept 03: JEE Main BE/BTech exam paper analysis & feedback from students

NEW DELHI: The third day of the Joint Entrance Examination (Mains) commenced today, September 03, 2020. The JEE (Main) has not suffered from the Covid-19 effect. Almost as many candidates took the exam as would have during normal times.

On Wednesday, which was the first day for engineering aspirants, 1.4 lakh took the exam out of the 1.7 lakh candidates registered for the test. The JEE Main will continue till September 06. The NTA is conducting JEE Main examination in two shifts - morning 9 am to 12 pm, and evening - 3 pm to 5 pm.

As per initial reports, some students shared that today's JEE Main BE/BTech paper was easier as compared to the January session while others said paper was tougher than the one held in January.

The examination was held smoothly following Covid-19 norms at all centres. Mask was given to the candidates who didn't wear one at the centre itself, while thermal scanning and sanitization were also taken care of.

Based on the common feedback, the overall level of difficulty was moderate. Students felt that the Physics section contained the trickiest questions and somewhat required more time to solve. For the Chemistry section, most of the questions appeared from the NCERT textbook. The Chemistry section was a cakewalk for most of the students who took the exam. The Mathematics section was moderate in level.

The first two days of JEE Main Exam 2020 witnessed low attendance across the country in the light of the ongoing pandemic. The first reactions are out as the students walk out of the exam centre. According to a student who studies in a CBSE-affiliated school found the Chemistry section the easiest. He told us that the question paper included many questions from the NCERT textbook. He found the Physics section the most time consuming as it involved lengthy calculations.

The other student shared the same opinion quoting "Mathematics and Chemistry sections were much easier while the Physics section was a tad difficult."
