Jomo Sono says he won't listen to the critics who think he should step down as head coach of his beloved club Jomo Cosmos.
Sono guided Ezenkosi to safety in the GladAfrica Championship with a 1-0 victory over the University of Pretoria on the final day of the season.
It was a poor campaign by Cosmos' standards, although the club last played top-flight football in 2015.
But speaking to the SowetanLIVE, the owner and coach explained at Cosmos he doesn't answer to anyone, and that's the way he likes it.
"I don't deal with noise from people, I do what I have to do and I'm not answerable to anybody," the 65-year-old said.
"I don't answer to ghosts. Many people...things do not go well for them because they concentrate on other people’s business.
"Everyone has got his own opinion, but I don't look at that and I don't care.
"It is not how you start but how you finish. We knew we had a bad season, but we had to finish strong.
"If people want to have things their way then they must have their clubs; this is my club and I won't listen to anyone."
