What’s New For The 2021 Lexus RC Coupe? Why, A Black Line Edition, Of Course!

The Lexus RC Coupe is receiving a number of small updates for the 2021MY, highlighted by a new limited Black Line Special Edition.

Lexus will offer the 2021 RC Coupe with Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert as standard across the range while the exterior color palette now includes the new Grecian Water paint option in addition to eight more colors.

The two-door Lexus will be offered with the same engine range, meaning base RC 300 models are powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine with 241 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Customers opting for the 2021 RC 300 AWD will get a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with 260 HP and 236 lb-ft of torque with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The RC 350 and RC 350 AWD models are powered by a more powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine, producing 311 HP and 280 lb-ft of torque. The rear-wheel-drive RC 350 uses an eight-speed automatic transmission while the all-wheel-drive variant gets a six-speed automatic.

Lexus will continue offering the RC 350 in the more dynamic F Sport guise, which features an optional Torsen limited-slip differential. 0-60 mph (96 km/h) comes in 5.8 seconds while the RC 350 AWD requires 6 seconds flat for the same procedure.

The New Lexus RC Black Line

The Japanese carmaker will offer just 350 examples of the 2021 RC Black Line, which will be available both as an RC 300 and RC 350. The new special edition is based on the F Sport trim level and features the Premium Triple-Beam LED headlights, 19-inch F Sport black chrome wheels, and darkened exhaust tips.

Customers will get to choose between Ultra White or the all-new Cloudburst Gray color options for the exterior while the interior of the limited-edition Lexus RC features silver stitching, Ash Wood trim, and Black Nuluxe accents as standard.

In addition, all 2021 Lexus Black Line Special Edition models will be accompanied by a bespoke set of travel cases from Zero Halliburton.
