Kimberly Farrah Singh has been tested positive for COVID-19, she confirmed the news to her fans and followers through her social media account.
The
beauty queen who represented Trinidad and Tobago at
Miss World 2015 is quite active with social work and amid the global pandemic; she timely spread awareness and urged the people of her country to stay safe.
The diva, who claims to have followed all protocols to stay away from the novel
coronavirus, contracted the disease after she came in contact with a corona positive patient. In an extensive post she shared how we can still be exposed to the disease and wrote, “I wore a mask PROPERLY every time I was out ----- still became Covid-19 positive
I practiced social distancing----- still became Covid-19 positive
I sanitized/washed my hands often---- still became Covid-19 positive
I avoided touching my face---- still became Covid-19 positive
I stayed at home only left for work, kept grocery, pharmacy and gas station runs to a minimum----- still became Covid-19 positive
I have no symptoms----- still Covid-19 positive
I have done all that was required and acted responsibly. Now you may argue that I faltered in some way or the other, guess what none of these measures are foolproof. That's the risk we take every time we leave our houses. ”
Kimberly got herself tested after she was contacted by health officials for being a secondary contact of a patient who recently tested positive. Her family members have also got themselves tested and have been self-quarantined. She has been receiving a lot of love and blessings from her fans for a speedy recovery.
The beauty queen has even warned her fellow citizens about the widespread of the disease and the importance of getting yourself tested. Kimberly also says the ones who are in isolation are the least of your worries than the ones who do not get tested and spread the disease to others who even after a lot of caution are prone to get infected. “Real talk though, we should be more worried about the persons who are asymptomatic and don't know they are simply because they have no reason to get tested. Worry less about us, the four hundred plus persons who are home isolated. Bear in mind that there would be many people (maybe in the thousands) walking around who would be COVID positive but won't get tested mainly because they don't know they have the virus. The point I am trying to make is this; at this stage, it's best to stay at home as much as you can but don't be fooled, COVID can meet you on the job and present zero symptoms,” she said.
As per sources, she is said to be in good health and recovering well!
