NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher at 11:21AM (IST) on Wednesday.
Shares of United Breweries (up 6.69 per cent), United Spirits (up 1.47 per cent), Dabur India (up 1.24 per cent), P & G Hygiene (up 1.23 per cent) and Colgate Palmolive (India) (up 1.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While TATA Consumer Products (down 0.49 per cent), Jubilant Foodworks (down 0.39 per cent), Godrej Consumer Products (down 0.35 per cent), Nestle India (down 0.29 per cent) and Britannia Industries (down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.37 per cent up at 31103.8 around 11:21AM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.85 points at 11486.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 36.28 points at 38937.08.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zee Ent., Tata Motors and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Central Depository Services (India) Ltd., Adani Green Energy Ltd., IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd., Hathway Cable and Godrej Ind hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Libas Designs Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
