Florida to launch new tourism campaign

On Wednesday, September 2 Florida Governor Ron DeSantis along with officials from ‘Visit Florida,’ announced a new tourism campaign during a press conference in Daytona Beach. The campaign is being launched with the aim of encouraging in-state travel by Floridians. The government has already planned to strongly advertise the campaign.


Governor DeSantis have been encouraging more tourists to visit the state over the past few weeks. More recently, Florida’s state’s 5-month-old ban on visitors to nursing homes was also eased. Governor DeSantis said in a statement that it is really impressive to witness how the theme parks have come back and even a big operation like Disney has decided to resume operation to see how the numbers are working post the pandemic.


He also mentioned that the latest actions and behaviour shows that such tourist activities can gradually be undertaken and more people can return to work in order to keep the society strong. Dana Young, President and Chief Executive Officer, Visit Florida added that Florida is more than just beaches and theme parks. She mentioned that Florida is a diverse, amazing, unique state and shared that ‘Visit Florida’ aims to tell the story of the whole Florida to the entire world.
