NEW DELHI: Nifty Financial Services index was trading on a negative note at 11:12AM (IST) on Wednesday.
Shares of State Bank of India (down 2.34 per cent), Shriram Transport Finance (down 2.09 per cent), Axis Bank (down 1.86 per cent), HDFC (down 1.72 per cent) and Power Finance Corporation (down 1.54 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While SBI Life (up 2.57 per cent), ICICI Pru Life (up 1.79 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance (up 0.99 per cent), ICICI Lombard (up 0.73 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Financial (up 0.71 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.7 per cent down at 11412.85 around 11:12AM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 10.20 points at 11460.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 59.24 points at 38841.56.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zee Ent., Tata Motors and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Central Depository Services (India) Ltd., Adani Green Energy Ltd., IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd., Hathway Cable and Godrej Ind hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Libas Designs Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
