  • Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Bernard Parker has revealed some of the challenges of completing the season within a bio-bubble.
  • Amakhosi are the current log leaders with only goal difference separating them from second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns.
  • The Glamour Boys will need win their two remaining matches to claim league honours.

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Bernard Parker admits "keeping the focus narrow" in the bio-bubble in order to complete the season has been a challenge.

The bio-bubble was created by the Premier Soccer League at the start of August, with the month-long biologically safe environment to stage over 50 matches.

"It is a first for all of us, but for me it has been good. We play and rest, play and rest, so after a game you definitely do get the chance to recover," the 34-year-old told media ahead of Chiefs' next match.

"You are with the team throughout the day, we connect, we speak, it just felt like an extended pre-season camp. But this time a camp where we have to produce the results.

"Being a leader, it is important that you make sure the rest of the team keep their focus within the bubble. The challenging part is to keep the focus narrow."

Amakhosi (53 points) entertain relegation threatened Chippa United on Wednesday evening in a must-win clash for the current Absa Premiership log leaders.

Sundowns, on the same points as Chiefs, are in second position with only goal difference separating the two sides.

Meanwhile, the Brazilians face-off against Polokwane City, also on Wednesday.

Both matches kick off at 18:00.
