Last month, the court said that Indian officials should also be given a chance to appoint a lawyer for Kulbhushan Jadhav. According to Pakistani media reports, the High Court was hearing the case on the government's appeal and allowed it to appoint a lawyer for Jadhav.

The hearing was postponed till September 3

Reacting to the judge's remarks, Pakistan's Attorney General Khalid Javed Khan said an ordinance was issued to give India and Jadhav an opportunity to file a reconsideration petition against the sentence. "We will contact India once again through the Foreign Office," he said. The hearing in the case was postponed to 3 September.
